Volunteer Requirements for the 2026 Season
1. Volunteer Applications: All volunteers must select your volunteer role HERE. If you do not already have an account, go to lincolnglenbaseball.com and create one. Then go to the above link. You also have an opportunity to select your volunteer role during the registration process for your player. You will be required to upload a copy of your Driver's License, read/approve some forms, and answer some questions relating to a background check. Shortly thereafter, you will receive an email from JDP inviting you to submit a volunteer application online at JDP. Please check your spam folder before reaching out to us. This must be completed before you begin any practices. This is an annual requirement. If you have any questions, please contact Becky Jones at [email protected].
2. LiveScan Fingerprinting: All managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must complete LiveScan fingerprinting. All NEW (if you previously completed a Livescan for LGLL, then you do not need to repeat this process. You can check our current list of volunteers who have already completed the LiveScan process HERE) managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members can bring their Live Scan form (you can download the form HERE) Tuesday, February 3, 2026 or Wednesday, February 25, 2025 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. to WGMS Media Center or directly to Verify Group located at 262 E Hamilton Ave Suite A, Campbell, CA 95008 for fingerprinting. They are open M-F and on Saturdays, and you should call to make sure someone is available before you head there. (408) 761-2156. You can also book an appointment online at https://verifygroup.com. The league will pay this cost for all volunteers. This must be completed before you begin any practices.
IMPORTANT***
All applicants subject to a criminal record check will have their fingerprints retained by the CA DOJ and searched against other fingerprints on file, including latent fingerprints. Also, all applicants have a right to obtain a copy of their criminal history record, if any. An applicant has the right to challenge the accuracy and completeness of their criminal history record and to obtain a determination as to the validity of their record before the agency makes a final determination concerning their eligibility for adoption, employment, certification, licensing, or permitting.
3. Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Training: All managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must complete the “Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Training” free online training located at https://epsavealife.org/sca-prevention-training/. This is an annual requirement, and your certificate must be dated October 1, 2025 or after. This online training will take about 20 minutes. When completed, managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must upload their certificates to your Sport Connect account. This must be completed before you begin any practices.

If you already have an account:
· Login and proceed to “click here to access the course.”
· If you completed this training within the past twelve months, before you begin the course, you will need to click the link to reset data in order to re-take the training for an updated certificate.
If you do not have an account:
· Create account and then login to take the course.
· Course includes three sections, pre-quiz, ~12 min video, and post-quiz.
· Certificate will be provided immediately; download it and upload certificate to your Sport Connect account
4. Safe Sport Act/Abuse Awareness: All managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must complete the “Abuse Awareness Training Course” free online through the Little League international training portal located at https://www.littleleague.org/university/articles/abuse-awareness-training-course/ This online training will take about 45 minutes. This is an annual requirement, and your certificate must be dated October 1, 2025 or after. When completed, managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must upload their certificates to their Sport Connect account. This must be completed before you begin any practices.

If you already have an account:
· Click on “Login to training Portal”
· Select Abuse Awareness 2026
· After you complete the course, a certificate of completion will be emailed; download it and upload certificate to your SportsConnect account
If you do not have an account:
· Click on “create an account”
· Insert Lincoln Glen Little League as your associated league
· After you hit submit, you will receive an email from LLI with a temporary password
· Reset your password and login
· Select the Abuse Awareness training course
· After you complete the course, a certificate of completion will be emailed; download it and upload certificate to your SportsConnect account
5. Concussion Protocol: All managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must complete the “Concussion in Sports” free online training located at https://www.cifstate.org/sports-medicine/concussions/index. This online training will take about 45 minutes. This is an annual requirement, and your certificate must be dated October 1, 2025 or after When completed, managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must upload their certificates to your LGLL account on Sport Connect. This must be completed before they begin any practices.

If you already have an account:
· Select “sign in” in upper right corner
· Select course for “myself”
· Select state-California
· Then login
· Select “Concussion in Sports” course
· Let the ad(s) play then training will start (video clips)
· Quiz at the end; complete course eval in order to receive the certificate; download certificate and upload to your SportsConnect account
If you do not have an account:
· Select your state → order course
· Register; select concussion courses → “concussion in sports”
· Select your state → order course (again); complete additional info
· Select your state → order course (again); select “I will be completing this course” → begin course → let the ad(s) play then training will start (video clips)
· Quiz at the end; complete course eval in order to receive the certificate; download certificate and upload to your SportsConnect account
6. Umpiring Requirement: All Farm, AA, AAA and Majors teams will be assigned 3 games to umpire in case our Umpire in Chief is unable to fill a game. The Umpire in Chief will assign these games at the beginning of the seasons. The managers of the team shall either find someone to umpire these three games for the team, or will be responsible for completing this umpiring responsibility. (You will not be allowed to umpire your own game.)
7. CPR: At least one person from each coaching staff (Team) needs to be certified with CPR. We offer the online CPR course via Simple CPR free of charge. The certification is good for two years. Please contact Christianne Paraz ([email protected]), our Safety Officer, and she will send you a link to the course. When completed, please upload your certification to your LGLL account on Sport Connect. This must be completed before they begin any practices.
8. Compliance Tracking:
All volunteers must register through SportsConnect. Before beginning any practices, all managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and board members must complete the “Abuse Awareness, Concussion Protocol and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training. When completed, the volunteer must upload their certificates to their SportsConnect account. One point person per division will be assigned to monitor compliance with this requirement as follows:
- President-Board of Directors
- VP Umpires-Umpires
- VP Juniors-Juniors managers, coaches, and volunteers
- VP Majors-Majors managers, coaches, and volunteers
- VP Minors-AAA and AA managers, coaches, and volunteers**
- VP Farm-Farm and A managers, coaches, and volunteers**
- T-Ball- T-Ball managers, coaches, and volunteers**
- VP Team Parents-all team parents
The above must be completed for all your team volunteers before Practice Times are assigned.
9. Diamond Leader Training Program: All managers and coaches are encouraged to sign up for the Diamond Leader Training Program which is a FREE educational resource that provides coaches with an understanding of the impact that mental, social, and emotional well-being has in youth sports through detailed information, interactive scenarios, and a variety of additional resources. Learn more and sign up through the LLI training program located at https://www.littleleague.org/university/articles/create-a-little-league-training-account/ Starting with the 2023 season, completion of the Little League Diamond Leader Program will be required for any coach and/or manager to be eligible to participate at any level of the Little League International Tournament.
