Field Operations - Roles & Responsibilities

The Little League Fields Director is a voting member of the Lincoln Glen Little League and is expected to attend a majority of the board meetings.


Duties/Responsibilities:

The Field Director shall:

1. Maintain fields during the season including, but not limited to:

a. Mowing fields.

b. Keeping sheds stocked with supplies.

c. Scheduling the installation and tear down of the outfield fences.

2. Coordinate yearly maintenance on lawn tractor, scoreboard and other field related equipment.

3. Schedule field preparation seminar for all coaches and managers at the beginning of the season.

4. Manage the watering and fertilizing of the infield and outfield grass.

5. Provide keys to sheds for all managers who require them.

6. Organize all sheds with proper equipment to prepare each field.

7. Order materials and tools and needed to maintain fields.

Time Commitment:

1. Time commitment:

a. 10 Board meetings a year or 20 hours

b. 1-3 hours mowing/working the field a week per season.

Suggested Pre-Requisite roles and/or skills

Recommended to be a current or past Little League manager or coach.
