2023 Lincoln Glen Fall Ball Details
Fall Ball is a developmental baseball program, where the aim is to help players gain more advanced skills at their respective levels and learn new baseball rules in preparation for the upcoming Spring season. Fall Ball is less competitive (no playoffs, coaches umpire the games), strives to have fun at all times and have players even more excited for the Spring season!
Starting this year, District 12 has asked that all Fall Ball participants play in their home/school boundaries. Therefore, you should only register with LGLL Fall Ball if your child lives in our boundaries or goes to school in our boundaries. If you were eligible in Spring 2023, then you are eligible for Fall Ball! Unsure about a friend? Tell them to use the Little League League Finder.
The typical schedule for Fall Ball is for teams to practice once per week and games to happen once a week as well (often on Sundays). The Fall season will be from early September through early November, with approximately 7-8 games and potential to play at or against other leagues.
Please review the divisions available below and at the registration link above to enroll your player(s).
All divisions are $175 for the season.
The league and coaches have the ability to approve or not approve of players/teams playing at certain age levels or divisions; with the ultimate goal to ensure team composition that supports a positive learning experience for all. Further, the league may make changes to the available divisions/teams dependent on sign-ups. Please help recruit friends and new players! Updates will be provided after registrations close in mid-August.
Since our league is 100% volunteer based, we will be looking for Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Field Maintenance for every team in the respective divisions. Please volunteer during the registration process for these roles.

Similar to the Spring season, families are responsible for providing pants, belts, socks, gloves, bats and cleats.

Juniors
|
The 2023 Fall Ball Junior division is for 2024 Little League age 13-14 year olds (birthdates between Sept 1, 2009 and August 31, 2011).

Major
|
The 2023 Fall Ball Major division is for 2024 Little League age 11-12 year olds (birthdates between Sept 1, 2011 and August 31, 2013). This division is for players with at least 1 year of AAA experience.

AAA
|
The 2023 Fall Ball "AAA" division is for 2024 Little League age 9-11 year olds (birthdates between Sept 1, 2012 and August 31, 2015). This division is for players with previous AA and/or AAA experience.

AA
|
The 2023 Fall Ball "AA" division is for 2024 Little League age 8-9 year olds (birthdates between Sept 1, 2014 and August 31, 2016). This division is for players with at least 2 years of Farm experience or 1 year of "A" experience.

A
|
The 2023 Fall Ball "A" division is for 2024 Little League age 7-8 year olds (birthdates between Sept 1, 2015 and August 31, 2017). This division is “full distance coach pitch” to start for players with at least 1 year of Farm experience. It will include more advanced baseball defensive rules (Catcher development), as well as introducing either “machine or player pitching.”
Players should be able to (as an example): routinely catch balls from a distance, exhibit the “big 3” skills of catching (receiving, blocking, throwing) understand the concept of backing up defensive positions, know when to advance on the bases, track fly balls and be able to display consistent batting stance and pitch recognition.

Farm
|
The 2023 Fall Ball Farm division is for 2024 Little League age 6-7 year olds (birthdates between Sept 1, 2016 and August 31, 2018). This division is "coach pitch" and focuses on teaching players the fundamentals of baseball and sportsmanship. Outs will be counted and defensive skills will be a focus. Coaches will moderate pitching distance with the goal of full distance pitching by the last few games of the season.
Players should be able to (as an example): catch balls from a short distance, make relatively consistent contact with pitched baseballs and understand field positions.

T-Ball
|
The 2023 Fall Ball T-Ball division is for 2024 Little League age 5-6 year olds (birthdates between Sept 1, 2017 August 31, 2019). This division teaches the core fundamental skills required to play baseball. This includes how to catch a ball, swing a bat, minor fielding and base running. New league age 6 players can and are encouraged to begin in T-Ball.
