Legal & Insurance - Roles & Responsibilities

The Legal and Insurance Director is a voting member of the Lincoln Glen Little League and is expected to attend a majority of the board meetings.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Legal and Insurance Director shall:

1. Advise the Board of Directors on legal issues, including following Robert’s Rules of Order

2. Serve as a member on the Conduct Review Committee.

3. Advise the Board of Directors regarding insurance issues.

4. Responsible for filing Little League charter and insurance.

5. Oversee the Collection of Volunteer Applications and running background checks for all volunteers.

Time Commitment:

1. 10 monthly board meetings of approximately 2 hours per meeting.

2. 40 hours collecting and processing volunteer applications and completing background checks.

3. 4-5 hours reviewing constitution, local rules and insurance policies.

4. 2-3 hours advising on legal issues and serving on CRC.
